Mostly, everything looked good. Although her dentist noticed some gum recession and then learned about Alana's stress and anxiety related to her recent unemployment. Which may have contributed to her grinding her teeth, and that gum recession. Alana was aware her mental health could affect her oral health, thanks to Guardian resources.
Guardian reviews the visit claim, processes it, and pays after approval. At the same time, the periodontist who will treat Alana's gum recession contacts Guardian about pre-determination (an estimate ahead of service that explains what's covered and what Alana's share of costs will be). Alana learned the dental term from Guardian educational resources.
Alana gets an alert that the dentist visit was fully covered — she's all set! And the periodontist’s office calls with an estimate. Now she’s ready to schedule a gum graft to ensure the recession doesn’t worsen and affect her overall health and well-being. She breathes a sigh of relief now that a plan of action is in motion!
